Nero’s sensual remix of Feel So Close (Calvin’s still riding the wave) is wonderful. It adds a little mystery, a little intrigue. The track has been referred to as dubstep’s first love song. Yes please.

Next- Ellie and RAC. I don’t even need to say ANYTHING, as you all should be aware of how much we love both. Everything RAC touches turns to gold and this song just sparkles in the heat. Must must must. (Really sad I didn’t make it to Brooklyn Bowl- one of those chaotic city evenings)

Feature Friday Vol. 8: THERE’S A MAU5 IN DC

Tonight, will be the third and final show of deadmau5’s three night occupation of DC’s 9:30 Club. Thankfully my sister got me a ticket to last night’s mind- blowing performance as a birthday present! Needless to say, it was a stunning, truly epic showcase of the relationship between music and technology that Joel Zimmerman, the man behind the mask, has seemed to fully embrace. Commanding the crowd from high up in his LED cube, Joel threw together a powerful set with a massive, bass heavy sound. It was unreal. The arsenal of lights slowly became more involved in the show as the set progressed, until the images and colors that provided the partygoers with a visual spectacle were dancing along with the pulsing crowd. It was an experience unlike any other and a true display of Mr. Zimmerman’s mastery of his craft. If you haven’t seen him live yet, you should probably do it soon, get lost in the comfort of your own room with these deadmau5 tracks below, or jump off of a cliff. Happy weekend everyone!
