The Beat Brothel was on the scene for the Designer Drugs show at The Mill in Hartford, CT. There’s no doubt that it was an unreal night. Luckly for us, other members of the SEX CULT family were there to represent: Skitsnygg and Black Matter. Not only do these guys know how to party, but they are down to earth and were up for a Beat Brothel exclusive interview! We talked about topics ranging from their fetish for Justin Beiber to future plans for SEX CULT. NSFW (NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK!). Skitsnygg set was first and despite some of the problems with the sound (can you thank sound posse for that fuck up) he threw down fire. Bass murdering,track after bass murdering track floated threw the airwaves. The crowd could not get enough. I was pretty taken by it myself. Here is his newest remix for The Sounds’ track “Something to Die For”. I think it his best work yet and I am pretty positive he dropped this track at some point during his set. Way to kill it Skitsnygg! Here is that remix, another one that is not released yet, and his Ting Tings remix. Enjoy these bangers!

Black Matter was there too and unfortunately did not get a chance to throw down, he made his presence noticed by hyping the crowd up and repping the SEX CULT family hard. Here are some of my favorite Black Matter tracks.I have seen him spin twice at Webster Hall. If you haven’t had a chance to see him, I highly suggest you do. He packs a lot of high energy into his sets.

FINALLY, Designer Drugs hit the stage. Theo, one part of DD, was there to kill the show. Vincent, the other half, was playing a show in Australia. We wish DD had more time to throw down, but unfortunately Hartford has some shitty noise laws. But despite that time restraint, he killed it. Everything was SOOO HARD and the crowd was going insane. My favorite track he threw down was DD’s “Dead Meat”. I can’t enough of it! One of the coolest parts was he was able to throw Duck Sauce’s Legendary “Barbra Streisand” into his set list. That truly shows how Theo is such a versatile DJ . OVERALL: What a killer set! Here are some of my favorite DD tracks, new and old.
