Treasure Fingers & more @ U-Hall

Before you walk into a Treasure Fingers show, you need to do a bit of mental preparation: “OK. I’m about to go dance my ass off for a few hours. Please, don’t be too angry with me in the morning legs.” Thankfully, I had seen Treasure Fingers before, so I knew what I was getting myself into before I walked down the stairs of U-Hall, one of my new favorite venues. Stereo Faith and JDH & Dave P got everyone in the mood to groove with some funky tracks spritzed with some disco dust. Their sets were a blast! Once the decks were handed over to Treasure Fingers, I knew shit was about to get real. His set was jam packed with funky bass-lines, sparkling synths, and infectious beats- all capable of punishing the most avid of dance floor slayers. Treasure Finger repped Fool’s Gold with Duck Sauce’s fun loving, Summer jam “Barbra Streisand” and also threw down, one of my personal favorites, his unforgettable track “What Am I Supposed To Do”, just to name a couple of my favorite moments. If there’s one thing that I’d take from the experience is everyone LOVES disco; representatives from all walks of life came out to boogey. Unfortunately, I had to leave a bit early: my ride had to wake up early the next morning, it was 2:35 am. But, as soon as we walked out, with legs feeling like Jello and soaked in sweat, the first thing he said was, “Wow… He just rocked my face off!” And that’s probably what everyone said as soon as they left U-Hall. Go see him, it’ll teach you how to dance.

Here’s a link to Treasure Fingers’ live set from San Francisco. He was nice enough to put it online for free!

Enjoy.
