Nero’s sensual remix of Feel So Close (Calvin’s still riding the wave) is wonderful. It adds a little mystery, a little intrigue. The track has been referred to as dubstep’s first love song. Yes please.

Next- Ellie and RAC. I don’t even need to say ANYTHING, as you all should be aware of how much we love both. Everything RAC touches turns to gold and this song just sparkles in the heat. Must must must. (Really sad I didn’t make it to Brooklyn Bowl- one of those chaotic city evenings)

Sunday Scoop V30: SBTRKT

From XL, the same talent exploiting label that spawned Ratatat and The XX (to name a couple of favorites), London Based producer SBTRKT (SUBTRACT- another masked mystery) launched his debut self-titled LP at the end of June and it is an absolute treat. The versatility is what really caught me- from funky synths to tribal beats to melodic lyrics, SBTRKT has it all covered. It’s so listenable, so easy on the ears, doesn’t have too much of that overdone redundant build up. I digggg.
As a matter of fact, I am questioning my Saturday attendance at Bisco to stay instead in NYC and see SBTRKT live at MoMa PS1, join me?

This month, along with the regular subscription of Plastik Magazine (probably my favorite International Mag), something was sent along as a compliment to Summer of Love. A One Year in Plastik CD.
One of my favorite tracks amidst the smorgasbord of steamy French lyrics and techno pops comes from Something a la Mode and features Chanel’s legendary Creative Director, Karl Lagerfeld. The track was commissioned by Lagerfeld for a Chanel show in Venice awhile back and has since been released. It’s perfect. Download here, watch the video below.
